It takes much more than the tools and knowledge and skills to reach the destination in meditation. Sometimes, meditation experts who have a lifetime of training fail in achieving absolute peace of mind. Sometimes, individuals with little or no meditation experience at all attain it.

Attitude determines direction and distance.

Be receptive of whatever happens without expectation.

Be aware of your reactions to your thoughts and sensations.

Be frugal in the use of your energy.

Knowledge is poisonous when it becomes our destination. Derailing our journey. Knowledge fills the head with an idea of false reality.

Not-knowing is an asset because we keep searching, emptying our mind to make room for more.
~
Looking outwardly the mind is confused and distracted by centerless others; looking inwardly, there is only one center to focus on.
~
A novice collects knowledge to the full. A master empties his mind to the void.
~
The wise person attains the Buddha. The fool obtains the Buddha.
~
